Castreja

Synopsis

At an altitude of a thousand meters, Castreja goes up and down the arid mountains with her herd, under the distinctive black cape. Just as burel resists the elements, artisans preserve ancestral traditions. Pastoralism, spinning and weaving symbolize autonomy in the most isolated village in the country. Telluric, this feminine is maternal and calming, in brio and zeal. His knowledge heals, preserves and creates community, communicating in castrejo. Proximity portrays women, hills and minerals with the freedom of poetry.
