THe UP and DOWN project invites the Lisbon funicular railway passengers to discover the heritage sites in the surrounding areas of these monuments, through photographs printed inside and outside the carriages. Lavra's Funicular takes us to the tiles of the S. José School, Bica's tajes to the Camões Municipal Library shelves, and Glória's dresses itself with the baroque art of the São Roque's Church and Museum, and Santa Justa's lays a golden bridge between Áurea Street and the Bank of Portugal Museum. UP and DOWN is one of the winning artistic projects of the Andar em Festa '14 competition, promoted by EGEAC Cultura in Lisbon.
