He is one of the biggest names to emerge during the 60s on the music scene. José Afonso in Portugal, and Luís Cília in France, exiled, are the pioneers of the Portuguese protest song.
If before April 1974 her work was censored, after the carnation revolution she remains marginalized. Despite everything, Luís Cília resists, alone, maintaining an active musical career spanning over 60 years. He continues composing soundtracks for Cinema, Theater, Television, Advertising or Dance.
