SYNOPSIS

The Indian gastronomy that seduces us so much - the spice, the sweet and sour, the freshness of aromatic herbs - does it truly originate from India?
Many elements are indeed native and have become symbols of Indian identity, but there are also ingredients in this exotic cuisine that whet our palate which actually arrived in India from other countries, brought by the Portuguese.
Identities seeks to find the origin of these elements, the paths of their journeys, and the intersections that, centuries later, created new flavors.
