He is one of the greatest names to emerge in the musical landscape during the 1960s. José Afonso in Portugal, and Luís Cília in France, in exile, are the pioneers of the Portuguese protest song.
If before April 1974 his work was censored, after the Carnation Revolution it remains marginalized. Despite everything, Luís Cília resists, in solitude, maintaining a musical career spanning over 60 years. He continues to compose soundtracks for Cinema, Theater, Television, Advertising, and Dance.
As he once said during a conversation at his home: "- I came, but I didn't return..." It is from this starting point that we go on a journey of discovery to find out: where has he stayed?
