The residents of the Cova da Moura neighborhood, mostly Cape Verdeans, recover and bring to life a traditional festival from their archipelago of origin—a ritual characteristic of the Midsummer "Festas Juninas."
This documentary follows a group of neighborhood residents on a journey to Cape Verde to celebrate the festivities of Saint John.
It is the festival of Saint John the Baptist, but it is also the staging of a journey.
Official film of the candidacy of Kolá San Jon for UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
