Ricardo Monteiro, 45, is a successful television producer who has just received an award for the most popular program of the year. On that same day, his daughter Leonor gives him an ultimatum: either he returns home that night to celebrate her 18th birthday, or he will never see her again. Ricardo has other commitments, and when he returns the next day, Leonor is gone.
Sara, a girl the same age as Leonor, contacts Ricardo claiming she can help him find her. Together, they begin searching in bars and nightspots that Ricardo never associated with his daughter. Gradually, the image he had of Leonor begins to shift, becoming more similar to Sara. Sara, who dreams of being a presenter on one of Ricardo's shows, encourages this by pretending to be Leonor. When he eventually locks her in Leonor's room, Sara begins to realize exactly why his daughter ran away…
